I contacted LOPCI about 3 months ago when my Newfoundland puppy was too big for me to manage. I was looking for a two week board-and-train, thinking that was the only way that I could get my puppy under control. Lisa McDonald is truly the dog whisperer – and the dog-owner whisperer. I don’t know where she found the time, but she called me back within a few hours, spent an hour on the phone with me discussing options and her philosophy, and we came up with a plan. In just one private session, Lisa was able to get my unruly little girl (all 100 pounds of her) to sit, down, and wait. Lisa then worked with me in person and through phone calls and emails to reinforce the private lesson materials. We are still working on our skills, but my girl has learned so quickly, and so have I, and our time together is really enjoyable. I really didn’t think I could train my dog, but with Lisa’s help, we are on our way to much better behavior.

Lisa is professional, friendly, responsive, and so easy to work with. She is encouraging – a very good coach – and always has something positive to say. Her staff is incredible – they are the most professional, friendly, knowledgeable and skilled staff I’ve ever met.
